Dr. Colin Eakin
Dr. Colin Eakin, a Palo Alto Medical Foundation physician and locally-trained orthopaedic surgery specialist, has vast experience treating a full-spectrum of orthopaedic problems from injections to full replacement. He strives to combine the very latest knowledge with superb technical skill, such that patients are cured when possible, routinely provided with significant pain relief, and always cared for in a genuine, caring manner. Dr. Eakin carries a subspecialty certification in Sports Medicine by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.
Dr. Erik McDonald
Dr. Erik McDonald is a board certified hip and knee replacement specialist in practice in the Bay Area since 2022, offering direct anterior hip replacement and knee replacement at Peninsula Surgery Center. Dr. McDonald is passionate about helping people with joint pain and arthritis improve their comfort. His training at UCSF and Yale, combined with his commitment to clinical research, has positioned him as an expert in his field.
Dr. Andrew Vargas
Dr. Vargas, a member of the Hill Physicians Medical Group, completed his residency and fellowship at UCSF and is board-certified in Anesthesiology and Interventional Pain Management. Following training, he served as a Senior Staff Physician in the Department of Anesthesiology, Pain Management, and Perioperative Medicine at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, prior to returning to California. He currently practices anesthesia and pain management with an individualized, multimodal approach to patient care emphasizing quality of life enhancement.
Dr. Norman Banks
Dr. Norman Banks treats patients using a customized variety of modalities including medication, injections, exercise, therapy, and/or an occasional referral for acupuncture or chiropractic intervention. He strives to bridge the gap between conservative management and surgical intervention by using X-ray guided steroid injections to nearly all regions of the body, including the back, neck, shoulders, knees and hips—and, as indicated, injections to nerves, tendons and muscles. He also performs steroid and Botox injections and diagnostic tests with electrocardiography.
Dr. Dev Mishra
Dr. Dev Mishra is board certified in orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine. His focus is on biologic and nonsurgical therapies for sports injuries and osteoarthritis. He takes a goals-based approach with his patients and offers treatment options across the spectrum: from nonsurgical to surgical treatments.
Dr. Mishra has kept pace with the many recent proven, exciting advancements in nonsurgical options available for active individuals such as platelet rich plasma, amniotic fluid injection, umbilical cord fluid injection, and adipose cellular transplant.
